What is the difference between a bolt and a screw?
A bolt is designed to be used with a nut. It passes through unthreaded holes of two or more parts, then fastens together by tightening the nut. Bolts are normally for heavy-load structural connections.
A screw taps into its own mating thread. It goes into pre-drilled or self-drilled holes in the material, no nut required. Screws are widely used for thin sheet, wood or light assembly.
Quick rule: Bolts use nuts; screws form threads into the workpiece.
The following are some models of Screws
Machine Screws、Self-Tapping Screws
Self-Drilling Screws / Tek® Screws
Wood Screws / Deck Screws、Drywall Screws
Sheet Metal Screws、Lag Screws
